Recently, during a short vacation to Cebu it was revealed that the Matuwid na Daan (straight path) had completely disappeared.
This was due to the misconception that since straight in Cebu means tarong (straight, erect or upright), and also stands for eggplant in that place, when Mr. Noynoy Aquino brought the matuwid na daan to Cebu, they did this to Noynoy's tarong:

They believed that Noynoy's tarong tasted very good after roasting and spicing with roasted red bell pepper.
